In order to detect diseases such as cancer in vivo, three things are required:

1. Targeting ligands to "home" to the sites of disease
2. Contrast agents to make the disease "light up"
3. Imaging technology, i.e., imaging systems, to detect the presence of the contrast agent

Our laboratory is organized into sections that focus on each of these important tasks.
